Mark Charles Taft, 39, passed away peacefully from heart complications on November 1, 2013, and, in his own words, ended his "reign of terror on earth".
Mark was a 1992 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School.
He was born November 25, 1973 in North Chicago, Illinois, and spent most of his extended childhood in Michigan, where his extended family still lives. He had lived in Pennsylvania since 1986.
Mark loved cooking, was an avid reader, a fan of classic rock, and of Peanut M&M's. He had a wicked sense of humor, appreciated by all who knew him.
He had worked for several area businesses as a landscaper and chef.
He is survived by his mother, Lori (Taft) Saylor of Reading; sister Beth (Taft) Ireland of Reading; father Mark E. Taft of Tulelake, California; and grandfather Dale Balch of Holt, Michigan.
In lieu of services or flowers the family suggests donations to Opportunity House of Reading, 430 N. 2nd St., Reading, PA 19601. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
