Mark P. Lukens, 50, loving son, brother, uncle and friend, passed on April 22, 2008, at his home in Melbourne, Florida.
Born January 20, 1958, in Wyomissing, PA, he was the son of Norman G. Lukens and the late Ellen (Jepsen) Lukens.
After graduating from Wyomissing Area High School and Albright College, he continued his career in the Sports Dept. of the Reading Eagle/Times. He then became the Sports Information Director for Albright College. Subsequently, he worked for the Harris Publishing Company in Florida. From there he went to St. Paul, MN, working as the Systems Administrator for the Pioneer Press. Thereafter he became employed by Florida Today/USA Today in Melbourne, Florida, last working March, 2008.
Mark was a dedicated and diehard Green Bay Packers fan, who also enjoyed many genres of music, especially Eric Clapton and the blues. He loved living near the ocean for the tranquility and peace it offered. He lived his life passionately, with dignity, courage and strength.
In addition to his father, he leaves behind his sister, Jeanne (Lukens) Worley, Robesonia, PA; his brother, Robert W. Lukens and his wife Courtney P., Wyomissing PA. Other survivors include his four favorite nephews: James N. Lukens, New Orleans, LA; Mark O. Lukens, Greensboro, NC; Keegan K. Worley, Robesonia, PA; and Rory R. Worley, Robesonia, PA.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Celebrating his life and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mark's memory to the Children's Home of Reading, Development Office, 1010 Centre Avenue, Reading, PA 19601. Edward J.
