Mark N. Heintzelman

Mark N. Heintzelman, 79, of Kempton, passed away, Saturday, August 8, 2020, at Reading Hospital - Tower Health. He was the beloved husband of Sandra A. (Bennicoff) Heintzelman, who died in 2016. Born in Albany Township, he was the son of the late Norman C. and Amelia (Shollenberger) Heintzelman. Mark was a member of New Bethel Church, Kempton. He was employed as a grinder but performed all jobs at Birch Hill Foundry for 46 years, retiring in 2006. Mark is survived by five sons: Steven M., husband of Valerie Heintzelman, Auburn; Daniel A. Heintzelman, Schuylkill Haven; Glen A., husband of Theresa Heintzelman, Fleetwood; Luke R. Heintzelman, Kempton; and Matthew P. .Heintzelman, Schuylkill Haven. Six grandchildren, two great-grandsons; one brother Ernest, husband of Shirley Heintzelman, Stony Run; and three sisters: Ida Hoppes, Orwigsburg; Shirley, wife of Donald Long, Auburn; and Linda, wife of Bruce Bittner, Kempton, also survive him. He was predeceased by one sister, Darlene Fry. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at 11 a.m., at Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 South 4th Street, Hamburg. Entombment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. For health and safety, please arrive wearing a mask and maintain social distance.
