Mark P. Gehret

Mark P. Gehret, 44 of Orwigsburg died August 29 th in his residence. He was the husband of Nichole L. (Burkert) Gehret. Mark was born in West Reading and was predeceased by his mother Patricia (McDevitt) Gehret. His father Rea Gehret and stepmother Sharon Gehret of Sinking Spring survive him. He was a 1991 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. He was employed as a facilities manager by Reynolds Consumer Products, Tamaqua. Mark enjoyed transporting and watching his children participate in various activities such as scouting, football and cheerleading. He especially loved football and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. His four beloved children, Austin P., Allison J., Morgan P. and Raya A. all survive Mark at home. Two brothers survive Mark, Scott husband of Lorie Gehret, Exeter and Brad husband of Michelle Gehret, Mechanicsburg. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m. from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4 th Street, Hamburg. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family requests contribution to the funeral home.
