Mark Ebling, 90, formerly of Lebanon and Reading died October 9, 2011 in Columbia Cottage, Palmyra, where he had been a resident since March, 2010.
He was the husband of Elizabeth "Betty" M. (Miller) Ebling who died July 8, 2005 after 64 years of marriage.
Born January 27, 1921 in Myerstown, he was the 7th of 9 children of the late William and Carrie (Wenrich) Ebling.
Mark was a 1938 graduate of Lebanon High School.
He was employed as a life insurance salesman with Prudential Insurance Company, Reading for 28 years, retiring in 1989. In 1968 he received the President's Citation that was awarded to the top 500 agents out of 20,000 agents at Prudential.
Mark was President of American Business Club in 1959.
He was a lifetime mason from 1949 in Lodge #226, Lebanon and a member of the Rajah Shrine.
Surviving are four children: Steve M. Ebling of Littleton, CO; Lynda L. (Ebling) Ries of Newtown Square, PA; Elizabeth K. (Ebling) Gurr of Cincinatti, OH and Joan M. (Ebling) Fry of Windsor, CO.
Other survivors include a brother, Dale A. Ebling of Hershey, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Ebenezer Cemetery, Lebanon.
