Marjorie Jean Lytle

Marjorie J. Lytle, 91, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, in the care of Berks Heim.

Born in Media, PA to the late Harry and Ida (Rudolph) Simcox, Marjorie attended Media School District. For many years she worked as a loom operator at the Aldan Rug Mill.

She was married to Marshall Lytle who was a member of the Bill Haley and The Comets Rock and Roll band. Marjorie loved music and was front and center with her husband as they traveled across the country with the band playing in all the major cities from New York to California.

She was a dedicated mother who raised four children and had only kind words to say to everyone. A strong, independent woman, Marge took joy in painting, crochet and loved gardening. She was a talented craftsperson who painted many rocks in her collection.

Her memory will be treasured by her children: Marshall E. Lytle (Cheryl) of Bernville; Lawrence "Larry" E. Lytle (Sande) of West Chester; Rodney C. Lytle of Concord, VT; and Marjorie "Margie" Colyer-Riberio (significant other of Fran) of Ocean City, MD; her grandchildren: Matthew R. Lytle (Kara), Jessica L. Lytle, Joshua Lytle, Meredith Lytle, Madison Lytle, Francis, Kristopher and Maria Riberio; great grandchildren: Halle, Kyla, Dulce, Luka and Marshall Lytle, Carman and Quinn Adams and Ariana, Rayne, Gage, Jaxin and Alani Rene. Marge is also survived by her brother, Kenneth Simcox (Betty). She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Simcox, Dottie Sunday, Marian Simcox and Florence Butz.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the dedicated staff of Berks Heim who were so attentive to Marge and her family. We also want to thank Heartland Hospice for the excellent care.

Services for Marjorie will be announced at a later date.
