Marjorie Lillian (Walters) Severs, 91, passed away early Easter morning, March, 27, 2016, at ManorCare, Laureldale.
Born in Finesville, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Effie (Fox) Walters. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband, Manuel L. Severs in 1973. They had one child, a daughter, Melodie.
Marge, as she liked to be called, was an independent, wonderful, loving and caring person. She touched the lives of many people. She was very well liked and loved by many. Her beautiful smile and blonde bouffant hair will always be remembered. Marge was a receptionist at the office of Dr. Paul N. LaFata, a West Lawn podiatrist from 1970-1990. She loved her job and her retirement put a major void in her workplace.
Slowly, sadly, Alzheimer's robbed her of the life she knew. She was a resident of Golden Ridge, Robesonia for seven years, followed by three years at ManorCare, Laureldale. The only thing this disease did not take from her was her beautiful welcoming smile.
The staff at ManorCare, Laureldale kept her smiling for three years she was in residence. That smile will be sorely missed.
Burial will be private. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
