Marjorie J. (Stoner) Sassaman, 88, formerly of Laureldale died June 26, 2012 in Lancashire Hall, Lancaster.

She was the wife of Harold C. Sassaman who died March 15, 2005.

Born May 20, 1924 in Coatesville, Chester County, she was a daughter of the late John and Kathryn (Gross) Stoner.

She was a 1942 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

Marjorie was empoyed as a teacher's aide with Muhlenberg School District for 21 years, retiring in 1986.

She was a member of Grace Alsace U.C.C., Muhlenberg Township, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher.

Marjorie was past president of Women's Guild.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna J. (Sassaman), wife of Charles W. Hixson of China Spring, TX and Nancy J. (Sassaman) Kiefer of Ephrata, Lancaster County.

Other survivors include two grandsons, John and Adam and two great grandchildren.

Marjorie was predeceased by three sisters, Evelyn Kay, Elizabeth Diener and Violet Redsecker.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
