Marion M. (Walters) Savage, 96, formerly of Shillington, passed away November 29, 2010 in The Highlands at Wyomissing.
Her husband, James W. "Woody" Savage, died August 10, 2000.
Born in Grafton, NE, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Caroline (Horst) Walters.
She was a graduate of Shillington High School and Reading Hospital School of Nursing.
Marion was employed by the Reading Hospital as a registered nurse.
She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Shillington where she was a Sunday school teacher.
Marion was an avid reader and loved playing bridge at The Highlands.
Marion was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by three sons, James M. Savage, John F., husband of Holly Savage, all of Spring Township and Frederick S., husband of Bonnie Savage, Cumru Township; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Walker, Steven Savage, Eric Savage, Alyssa Savage, Ashley Michael, Adam Michael, Kelli Maturi, Jodi Beach and Stephen Savage and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Sinking Spring Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Mifflin Community Library, 6 Philadelphia Ave. Shillington PA 19607 or Immanuel United Church of Christ, 99 South Waverly St., Shillington, PA 19607. Edward J.
