Marion C. Rodruan

Marion C. (Cragg) Rodruan, 86, died September 15th at 5:50 a.m. in the assisted living center at the Highlands of Wyomissing.

Formerly of 29 Kings Blvd., Shillington, she was the widow of Edgar A. Rodruan who died August 18, 1982.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she was a daughter of the late William H. and Alice E. (Mooney) Cragg.

She was an active member of Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church, Spring Township, participating in both the choir and bell choir.

Mrs. Rodruan was the founder of the Children's Choir at Holy Cross Methodist Church, Reading in 1959.

She is a 1932 graduate of Abington High School, Montgomery County and a 1936 graduate of West Chester University with a B.S. in Music Education.

Mrs. Rodruan was an elementary music teacher for 22 years, retiring from the Governor Mifflin School District in June 1978. She was the past president of the Governor Mifflin Music Educators Association (1960-1961).

She is survived by two sons, Robert E. husband of Barbara A., Raleigh, North Carolina and William C. husband of Cathy E., Lititz, Lancaster County; and two daughters, Margaret E. (Rodruan) Morrow of Greensboro, North Carolina and Jane R. (Rodruan) wife of Dr. Glenn Kasow of Tucker, Georgia.

Other survivors include two brothers, George W. Cragg of Athens, Georgia and Robert L. Cragg of Maple Glen, Montgomery County.

There are also seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Thursday at noon in Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church, Jefferson & Cambridge Avenues, Lincoln Park, Pa 19609. Burial will be private in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington. Contributions may be made to the Church Memorial Fund. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
