Marion L. Kahl

Marion L. Kahl, 94, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 in her Hamburg residence. She was the wife of Norman Kahl, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.

Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late William and Ellen (Paulie) Lindenmuth. After graduating Hamburg High School in 1948, Marion embarked on a long career as a bank teller. Her first employer was Leesport Bank. She worked for Hamburg Savings and Trust for a number of years, and retired in 1993 from M & T Bank. Marion served her community as a Girl Scout Leader and Sunday school teacher for St. John's Lutheran Church.

Marion loved to cook, bake, and do crossword puzzles. She enjoyed traveling to the New England states in the fall. Ocean City, Maryland was another favorite destination. Most important to her was enjoying time with her family. She loved her grandsons, Ryan and Jared.

Left to cherish her memory are husband, Norman; son, Kris Kahl, husband of Debra, of Blandon; grandsons: Ryan Kahl , husband of Sarah and Jared Kahl; and brother, Stuart Lindenmuth of Maryland. She was preceded in death by brothers, Ray and Robert Lindenmuth.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:00 am in Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 40 South 4th Street Hamburg, PA 19526. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
