Marion I. Heck

Marion Irene (Ziss) Heck, 86, of Rockland Township, died July 14, 2013 in St. Joseph Medical Center.

She was the wife of Emil Nicholas Heck, Sr., who died November 8, 1995.

Born in Reading, PA on September 7, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Eleanor (Keller) Ziss.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kutztown.

Marion is survived by five children: Patricia M. (Heck) Bowman-Carlucetti of Bethel; Emil N. Jr., husband of Diane R. (Stump) Heck of Alsace Township; Bernard H. Sr., husband of Neda (Horning) Heck of Birdsboro; Edward L., husband of Virginia Lee (Smith) Heck of Boyertown and Bonnie E., widow of Frank C. Holley of Reading.

Other survivors include a sister, Dorothy (Ziss), widow of Harvey Lorah of Lower Alsace Township; 12 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Albert Ziss and two grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, July 19th at 10:00 am in Blankenbiller Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 423 Main St., Oley. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
