Mario Calvaresi

Mario Calvaresi, 90, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Columbia Cottage. He was the husband of the late Joan (Body) Calvaresi until her passing in 2020.

Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Alessandro and Frances (Bernardini) Calvaresi. Mario graduated from Reading High School in the class of 1949. He went on to own and operate Calvaresi's Food Market, Reading with his late brothers: John, William, and Thomas.

Survivors include his children: Bonnie L, (Steven P.) Ulrich of Robesonia; Jack Calvaresi (Karen Jones) of Palm Coast, FL; and Steven Calvaresi, widower of Susan, of Palm Coast, FL; two grandchildren, Greta Zerman and Steven M. Ulrich, four great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. The visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
