Marilyn F. Wixon

Marilyn Florence (Hoster) Wixon, 71, of Spring Township, died June 17, 2009 in the Reading Hospital.

Born May 16, 1938 in her Reading residence, she was a daughter of the late Rueben and Grace (Giebel) Hoster.

She was a former owner of the Penn Cecil House for six years and later employed 15 years as a bartender with the West Lawn Quoiting Club.

Marilyn is survived by five children: Lorraine M., wife of Donald B. Ford of Mohnton; Catherine M., widow of James L. Sweitzer of West Lawn; Michele M., wife of P. Harris Brannen of Wyomissing; Raymond M. Wixon, fiance of Terri L. Kline of Kenhorst and Andrea L. Bieber of West Lawn.

Other survivors include four siblings: Raymond Hoster of Reading; Betty Krick of Tilden Township; Gloria Monde of Flying Hills and Catherine Bender of Reading.

There are also eight grandchildren surviving: Alexander, Tara, Brandi, Mckenzie, Taylor, Aaron, Carlie and Michael.

She was predeceased by two siblings: Leroy and Robert Hoster.

Memorial Services will be held Monday at 8:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A visitation will be held Monday 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the funeral home.
