Marilyn Ann Weiss, 82, of Ontelaunee Township, passed away March 12, 2013 in St. Joseph Medical Center.

She was the loving wife of Hoyt F. Weiss, whom she married nearly 60 years ago on November 28, 1953.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Buser) Esser.

She worked for the Berkshire Knitting Mills and then as a clean room technician for AT&T, now Lucent, for over 20 years, retiring in 1996.

Marilyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed socializing with her friends, playing cards and bingo, dancing and taking day trips to the casino. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her three children: Jackie, wife of Robert M. Fogelman, Reading; Sherry, wife of Jim M. Beissel, Leesport and Christine, wife of Steve Orth, Mohrsville. Also surviving are her 10 grandchildren: Lisa, Jason, Amy, Matthew, Katie, Chris, Jordan, Brittany, Emily and Michael and her four great-grandchildren: Jed, Georgia, Orion and Lydia.

Marilyn was predeceased by her brother, Francis Esser.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
