Marilyn H Grogg

Marilyn H. (Becker) Grogg, 74, passed away on April 1, 2025 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harold Becker, Sr., and Dorothy (Winner) Becker.

She graduated from Wyomissing High School, and went on to study and receive her Associate's degree in the field of nursing from Reading Area Community College, and then ultimately at Kutztown University, earning her Bachelor's degree in nursing. Marilyn worked at various hospitals in the Reading area and around the country, and loved her rewarding career as a nurse. She was proud to give back to her community, and help those in need. As a local gal, she was a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, and never missed a game on TV. In her free time, she could be found crafting, crocheting, and playing the piano. Marilyn loved to travel. She traveled

the country as a traveling nurse, and especially enjoyed her visits to national parks. She spent lots of time exploring the Grand Canyon in Arizona, and the Black Hills of South Dakota with her sons. She even traveled to England, and walked the hallways of ancient castles, imagining herself royalty with every step.

Those cherishing Marilyn's memory are her son, Ryan Grogg and her daughter Tara Carvell; her siblings: Harold Becker, Jr., Kathy Fegley, and John Cassidy; as well as her grandchildren: Killian Trainor and Gavin Trainor. She will be especially missed by her adoring pets who she endlessly doted on: Bleu, Barkley, Delilah, Sammie, Deano, and Punkin'. She joins in Heaven her son, Stephen Grogg, and her brother, Glenn Becker.

The funeral service for Marilyn will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA, 19611. Friends and family may gather from 2 p.m. until the start of the service. Inurnment will be held privately at the request of the family.

In honor of Marilyn's love and devotion to the Philadelphia Eagles, the family invites any attendees who would like to wear their Eagles gear, or the color green.
