Marilyn E. Christopher

Marilyn E. Christopher passed away November 21, 2016 at Mi Casita Nursing Home, Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico at the age of 89. Marilyn was born September 21, 1927 in Port Clinton, PA to the late Franklin Myrick and Mildred Hartmann Myrick, and graduated from Hamburg Area High School in 1945. In 1949, she married Leonard "Mac" MacDonald, who died later that year while serving in the Marines. She then studied at Parsons School of Design in New York City. The following year Lynn received a scholarship to Parsons School of Design in Paris, France. In the late 1970s, Marilyn returned to Hamburg to care for her parents. She was self-employed as a dog groomer for many years and studied painting, perfecting her use of watercolours. In 1977 she married John Christopher. The couple resided in Hamburg, PA until 1998 when they retired to Ajijic, Mexico. Marilyn was predeceased by her second husband, John Christopher in 1998. She is survived by his children: Susan, wife of Robert Wright, Ridley Park, PA; Jeffrey, husband of Patricia, Wyomissing, PA; and Daniel, husband of Deborah of Sinking Spring, PA. There are 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Services to be held at the convenience of the family. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
