Marie C. Walley

Marie C. Walley, 76, of Spring Township, died April 20, 2012 in Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Robert F. Walley, whom she married on August 10, 1957.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late George A. and Loretta (Schindlbeck) Henrich.

She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1954 and the St Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1957.

She was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle, R.C. Church, Shillington.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children: Robert J. Walley, Nashville, TN; U.S. Navy Ret. Rear Admiral, Michael A., husband of Shirley Walley, Alexandria, VA and Donna M., wife of Daniel Swinford, Sinking Spring. There are three siblings: Harry J. Henrich, Media, Francis J. Henrich, Birdsboro and Barbara A. Voelker, Hatfield. Six grandchildren: Stacey Spinka, Brynn Walley, Nicole Walley, John Walley, Marci Walley, Madison Walley and one great-granddaughter, Kendall Spinka also survive her.

Marie was predeceased by three siblings: Loretta Baum, Joan Loeper and George Henrich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Marie's memory.
