Marie A. Sands

Marie A. Sands, 80, of West Wyomissing, passed away on October 11, 2022, in Columbia Cottage.

Her first husband, Warren H. Weber, died January 2, 1990 and her second husband, Brooke T. Sands, died October 29, 2006.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Henry M. and Anna J. (Hoffa) Witman.

She was a graduate of Reading Catholic High School in 1959. Marie was employed by Food Fair Store, Inc., Shillington. Later, she worked at the Shillington Farmers' Market at K&D Produce and Sol Shearers Farms for 20 years, retiring in 1991.

Marie enjoyed bingo, plants, gardening, and cooking. She was an Elvis enthusiast and always followed the Phillies. Most important to her was her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by two children, Todd A. (Kim M.) Weber, West Lawn, and Susan M. Love (William Paulik, Jr.); three grandchildren: Ryan J. Weber, Emily M. Love, and Amy E. Love.

Services will be Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League.
