Marie L.

Marie L. Royer, 93, passed away on November 26, 2025, at Laureldale Nursing and Rehab. She was the widow of Oscar A. Royer who died in 2001.

Born in Bustleton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Connolly and Mariam Christ. Marie graduated from Muhlenberg High Scholl in 1950and the Nursing School at Votech in 1970. She was employed as a private duty LPN.

Memorably, Marie was crowned Queen for a Day in 1962 on the Queen for a Day TV show.

Marie is survived by her six children: Linda Schulze of Womelsdorf; Beverly Bredbenner (Bruce) of Hamburg; Steve Deputy (Sharon) of Florida; Jule Good (Don) of Harrisburg; Tom Deputy of Douglassville; and Joanne Moyer of Minersville, one niece, Jimi Gee, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Oscar and siblings Mary Belle and Thomas Connolly.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kuhn Funeral Home to defray costs.
