Marie C. Kroenig passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Concordia of the South Hills, in Pittsburgh, where she had been residing for the past four years, after living for many years in Wyomissing. She was the wife of the late Denton Kroenig, who preceded her in death in 1984.
Born in Robeson Township, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl (Quinter) Coldren. Marie was a graduate of Birdsboro High School and a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church in West Reading as well as the sorority Beta Sigma Phi. She worked for many years as a retail clerk at The Bon-Ton, where she was known for her dedication and kindness.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Lori Collins, son-in-law James; grandchildren, Katie and Matt Collins, all of Pittsburgh; and daughter-in-law Mary Jo Salerno of Laureldale. In addition to her husband, Marie was predeceased by her son, Barry L. Paine; and sisters, Dorothy Helms and Jennie Brown.
Following private services, Marie will be laid to rest beside her husband at St. John's Cemetery in Birdsboro.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Animal Rescue League.
