Marie Eckenroad

Marie Eckenroad, 83, formerly of Birchwood Road, Wyomissing, died Dec. 21 at 6:25 p.m. in Manor Care Health Services Inc., Spring Township, where she had been a resident since Aug. 2001.

Her husband, David Eckenroad, died Nov. 29, 2002.

Born in Reading she was a daughter of the late William and Kathryn (Mull) Hertlein.

Eckenroad was a member of St. James Church, West Reading.

She was a 1938 graduate of Reading High School.

Eckenroad is survived by two sons, James, Mohrsville, and William, Phoenix; and two daughters, Nancy (Eckenroad) Mogel, Cumru Township, and Linda (Eckenroad) Peffer, Pascoag, R.I.

There are also five grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Sinking Spring Cemetery.
