Marie E. Loeper

Marie E. (Thren) Loeper, 97, of Wyomissing, passed away September 15, 2022, at Phoebe Berks.

Her husband, Robert P. Loeper, died on July 16, 2012.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Henry) Thren.

She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School In 1942.

Family and faith were most important to Marie. She was a kind and compassionate woman with a heart of gold. She taught her children unconditional love and had a passion for the beauty in nature and always lived and appreciated each day to the fullest.

Marie was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family; one of the best gifts she gave her children was staying at home to raise them.

Marie is survived by two sons, Michael A. Loeper, husband of Eileen Burke, Glenside, PA and Mark A., husband of Charlene Loeper, Aurora, OH; four daughters, Patricia A., wife of Charles Kerschner, Leesport, Margaret M., wife of S. Carl Readinger, Breingsville, Nancy L. Smith, Wyomissing and Mary Ann, wife of Robert Fischer, Hendersonville, NC.; one sister, Jean Lynagh; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was predeceased by her son, Robert M. Loeper; four siblings, Larry, Vincent, Raymond, and Sister Catherine; and two grandsons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 19, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St. Albans Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608 with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
