Marie Castellucci

Marie (DeStasio) Castellucci, 91, of West Reading, passed away peacefully, October 19, 2013 at ManorCare Health Center, Sinking Spring.

Her husband, Harry Castellucci, Sr., died August 21, 2001.

Born October 15, 1922 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Theresa (Ruggiero) DeStasio.

Marie was last employed at Tersuhow, ladies fashion, retiring in 1983.

She was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reading.

Marie's passion was her family. Her love for her children, her kindness and generosity to all was beyond measure. Marie and her husband, Harry, were truly part of America's greatest generation.

She is survived by her three children: Gena M., wife of Salvatore Grandinetti, Shillington; Thomas A., husband of Marjorie Castellucci, Sinking Spring; and Harry Jr., husband of Joanne Castellucci, Sinking Spring. Also surviving are her brothers: Joseph DeStasio, Birdsboro, and Michael DeStasio, Muhlenberg Township. Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive her.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Lorraine (Castellucci) Ricker, March 20, 1987.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reading. A viewing will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Edward J.
