Marianne Clark

Marianne (Brehm) Clark, 95, of Shillington, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, in the care of Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation.

Born in Reading to the late Jacob and Marie (Offenderlein) Brehm, Marianne graduated from Central Catholic High School. For many years she worked as a clerk in the billing department at St. Joseph's Hospital.

A woman of great faith, she was a member of the former Lighthouse Bible Church congregation.

Marianne found joy in gardening. Her love of nurturing the earth led her to work alongside local master gardeners at the Reading Public Museum. An avid walker and hiker, Marianne was a member of the Reading Hiking Club during her youth. She enjoyed walking in her neighborhood well into her 80's.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Robert W. Clark, widower of Sandi, of Shillington; David D. Clark, husband of Cheryl, of Bonners Ferry, ID; and James T. Clark, husband of Meegan, of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Alissa, Terra, Forrest, and Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Brixton, Greyson, Everett, Helen, Elise, Irene, Jesse, Hannah, and Levi. In addition to her parents, Marianne was predeceased by her children, Linda and John Clark, and by her sister, Gertrude Kleman.
