Marian C. Paul

Marian C. Paul, 92, of 402-1 Springside Drive East, Spring Township, died July 30th at 5:52 a.m. in Reading Hospital where she had been since earlier that morning.

She was the widow of Rev. Thomas E. Paul (Died February 27, 1969).

Born in Lebanon, Pa she was a daughter of the late Clarence D. and Mary (Roadarmel) Unger.

Paul was a 1928 graduate of Shamokin High School.

She was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Congregational Church, Shillington where she was the President of Missionary Society for 25 years, taught Sunday School for over 50 years and was the Treasurer of Ladies Aid Society for a number of years.

Paul worked as a teller for a number of years at Shamokin Dime Bank. She later worked as a Bookkeeper and Bank Teller for Bank of Pennsylvania, Reading for a number of years retiring in October 1986.

She also worked as the Financial Secretary for 37 years at E.C. Division of Missions , Reading until her retirement in 1986.

Paul is survived by a son; Glenn A. of Spring Township and a sister; Bernice (Unger) Masteller of Torrence, Ca.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son; Dale E. (Died May 7, 1994) and a brother; David C. Unger.

Services will be Saturday August 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in St. Luke's Evangelical Congregational Church, Shillington. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Viewing Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to E.C. Division of Missions, P.O. Box 186 West Park Ave., Myerstown, Pa 17067. Edward J.
