Marian V Moyer

Marian V. Moyer, 81, formerly of Kenhorst and Reading, died Nov. 20 at 1:55 p.m. in Mifflin Center, Cumru Township, where she had been a resident since Oct. 8, 2003.

Her husband, Richard M. Moyer, died Oct. 25, 1985.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late George O. and Violet M. (Fessler) Ritter.

Moyer had been employed for 27 years as a licensed practical nurse by Reading Hospital, retiring in February 1985.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mohnton.

Moyer was past secretary of the Laurelwood Swimming Pool, Pottstown, and former vice president of the Pottstown Optimist Club.

She is survived by a son, Ronald R., Morgantown; and two daughters, Sharon A. (Moyer) Rifai, Shillington, and Suzanne M. Moyer, Bay Shore, N.Y.

Other survivors include three sisters: Ann (Ritter) Minnich, Lansdale, Montgomery County; Betty (Ritter) Miller, Lincoln Park; and Louise (Ritter) Zeckman, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County.

There are also three granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Church. Burial will be in Plow Church Cemetery, Plowville. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
