Marian E. Humma

MARIAN E. ( WERNER ) HUMMA Marian E. Humma, 77, formerly of Mohnton, passed away Tuesday Aug 30, 2011, at The Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Virginia (Yeich) Werner of Mohnton. She graduated from Mohnton High School class of 1951 as the valedictorian. She worked for her father in his grocery store and at Brandt's Pharmacy Mohnton and in small appliances at Boscov's and later had her own craft business. She was a loyal wife, self-sacrificing and devoted mother who loved traveling with her family and enjoying the beauty of nature with a special fondness for all animals. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1961. She was a member most recently of the Leesport Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses Shoemakersville. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ronald; daughter Cathy, Ephrata, son Jeb husband of Beth, Hamburg, daughter Lisa at home and devoted dog Molly. She is also survived by her brother Stephen husband of Carol Werner, Stewart Florida, Aunt Mildred widow of Melvin Strouse, Exeter and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Donald Werner. Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial service to be held at the Leesport Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 540 Hunter Liggett Dr. Shoemakersville on Saturday, September 10th at 3:00 PM.
