Marian D. Goas

Marian D. Goas, 90, of Sinking Spring died October 12, 2006 at 10:50 p.m. in ManorCare, Sinking Spring where she had been since August 31, 2004.

Her husband Charles E. Goas died September 23, 2002.

Born in Womelsdorf, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Elsie M. (Dundore) Machamer.

She was a graduate of Wyomissing High School in 1934 and of Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1937.

Marian was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring.

She was a Registered Nurse first employed by Reading Hospital and Medical Center, later as a private duty nurse and finally as a supervisor at the former Hassler Home retiring in 1980.

Surviving are one daughter, Carol E. wife of Robert Rhoads, West Lawn, one grandson, Timothy Rhoads and one great granddaughter, Olivia Rhoads.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. www.kuhnfuneralhome.com
