Marian R. Dunkelberger

Marian R. Dunkelberger, 84, of Wyomissing, died October 29, 2010 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband, Merlin R. Dunkelberger, Sr., died March 14, 1990.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Mervin J. and Esther M. (Marburger) Good.

Marian was a 1943 graduate of Reading High School.

She was a proud employee of Maier's Bakery for 35 years, retiring as Assistant Office Manager in 1988.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Marian, devoted and loving mother, is survived by her two children: Merlin R, Jr., husband of Wendy L. Dunkelberger, Wernersville and Ruth Ann Dunkelberger, Laureldale. She is also survived by her best friend and brother, Mervin Good, Kenhorst. Also surviving are her three grandchildren: David B. Shimp, Allentown, Brad M. Shimp, San Antonio, TX and Katie M. Dunkelberger, Wernersville as well as her three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother, Claude Good.

Services will be Thursday, November 4 at 10 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. A viewing will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
