Maria Z. Rivera-Berrios

Maria Z. Rivera-Berrios, 63, passed away April 4, 2024, in her Reading residence.

Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of Maria Berrios, Puerto Rico, and the late Marcelino Rivera.

Maria was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family; one of the best gifts she gave her children was staying at home to raise them.

Maria had a deep affection for her family, and she found immense joy in preparing traditional Puerto Rican dishes for her loved ones, including her children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. Cooking these authentic meals allowed her to not only showcase her culinary skills but also pass down her cultural heritage to the younger generations. It was during these moments in the kitchen that Maria felt a strong sense of connection and love for her family, as they gathered around the table to savor the flavors of Puerto Rico together.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her three children: Geremias Negron, Jerrica Negron, and Danny Negron; 21 grandchildren: Biancalyz Negron, Jeremy Negron, Itashlie Negron, Josue Negron, Angel Navedo, Juan Claudio, Giovanni Claudio, Gianna Claudio, Laylanie Claudio, Jayda Claudio, Jayden Claudio, Jysaiah Claudio, Indyaleez Negron, Danny Negron, Jayla Mendoza, Wisin Mendoza, Yandel Negron, Javier Negron, Mickey Negron, Madison J. Negron, Elijah G. Negron; six great-greatgrandchildren: Avangeline Caraballo, Avian Caraballo, Deeanaliez Melendez, Jerryaniez Melendez, Jaylianna Florez, and Roman Florez; and nine brothers and sisters.

She was predeceased by two children Yanira Negron and Jerrymar Negron; and four siblings.

Services will be Friday, April 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Rd. Temple, PA 19560. Burial to follow at Charles Evans Cemetery.
