Maria Posch, 84, formerly of West Reading, passed away April 2, 2008 in Manor Care Health Services, Sinking Spring where she resided for two years.
She was the widow of Anton Posch who passed away February 8, 2001.
Born in Neufutok, Yugoslavia, she was a daughter of the late Josef and Maria (Beckerle) Stutz.
Maria was employed at the former Berkshire Knitting Mills, West Reading, and then fifteen years as a packer at R. M. Palmer Co., Wyomissing, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.
Maria loved spending time with her grandchildren. Whether it was locally or in Renton,WA. She always cherished her time with them. She also was very fond of knitting and needlepoint. Her beautiful handcrafted items are cherished by many family members and friends.
Surviving are two sons, Robert and his wife Jacqueline, Mohnton, and R. Anton and his wife Tien, Renton, WA.
There are seven grandchildren, Shannon, Monhton, Lindsey, West Reading and Josef, Mohnton; and Michael, Liana, Erik and Galen, Renton, WA.
There are also two great- grandchildren, Nicholas and Michael, Mohnton.
Maria is predeceased by a sister, Franziska Stutz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the Mass in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to, Sacred Heart Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 6217, Wyomissing, PA 19610. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
