Maria A. Payero

Maria A. Payero, 88, passed away on December 9, 2022, in her Reading residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, she was a daughter of the late Juan Ulloa and Francisca Payero.

Maria dedicated her life to her family and keeping them together was an intangible gift she gave to them every day. She always wanted to help others and would do anything for anyone. Maria was incredibly humble and unselfish.

She is survived by her six children: Marcos (Cirila) Payero; Carmen Payero (Daniel Hernandez, deceased); Dionisio Payero; Josefina Payero; Arelis Payero; and Gilbert (Esther) Francisco. She was one of seven siblings, they include: Eduardo (deceased), Aguilino, Marina (deceased), Jose, Eligio (deceased), and Joan Roman (deceased). She was the loving grandmother of 20 grandchildren: Howie, Junior, Diliana, Damaris, Yonel, Juliette, Joel, Edwin, Angelimar, Marangely, Joey, Jeffrey, Jacqueline, Laney, Justin, Ana, Arelis, Jonathan, Hershuay, and Esperanza (deceased). Great-grandchildren: Mason, Jaxson, Mattew, Jeffrey, Dilan, Taiz, Harry Daniel, Junemanuel, Genesis, Yadielis, Yanelis, Ashley, Brianna, Anthony, Yadiel, Karla, Nolan, Yetxel, Camila, Mia Zoe, Amaya, Yadiel, Jonathan, Jonabdiel, Fabiola, Jinely, Yedriel, Yeiden, Elianys, Melanie, Anthony, Jayanii, Jordan, Jade, Armany, Arkiel, Nahiara, Nahir, Presley, and Jordanys, as well as her first great-great-grandchild, Ayana Sofia and the second who is on the way.

A viewing will be held Friday, December 16, 2022, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sinking Spring Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
