Maria De Los Angeles Cruz - Vega

Con el corazón lleno de dolor, pero también de profunda gratitud, anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra amada María Cruz, quien partió de esta vida el 22 de julio de 2025, a la edad de 60 años, en el Reading Hospital.

María nació el 24 de noviembre de 1964 en Manhattan, Nueva York, con raíces puertorriqueñas que siempre llevó con orgullo. Hija del señor Juan Cruz Sr. y Guillermina Vega, fue madre amorosa de Juan G. Santiago Cruz y Joel A. Santiago, y adorada abuela de Rainna y Emillen.

Conocida cariñosamente como Mary, fue un alma que irradiaba alegría y luz. María tenía el don único de convertir los días ordinarios en celebraciones, llenando cada rincón con su calidez, su risa contagiosa y el inconfundible aroma de algo delicioso cocinándose en su cocina.

Apasionada por la cocina y vibrante al ritmo del baile, María creía firmemente que la vida debía disfrutarse como una comida favorita compartida con los seres que uno ama, o como una canción que te hace bailar sin pensarlo. Su cocina siempre estaba abierta, su música siempre encendida y su corazón siempre dispuesto a animar a quien lo necesitara. Cada reunión con ella se transformaba en un banquete, y cada paso suyo en una danza de amor y luz.

María nos enseñó que la alegría no se encuentra, se crea. Con cada receta preparada con amor, y cada canción bailada con el alma, nos dejó el legado de celebrar incluso los momentos más sencillos de la vida.

Le sobreviven sus amados hijos; su compañero de vida, Ángel Vázquez Mora, con quien compartió los últimos cinco años en un vínculo lleno de amor, compañerismo y respeto mutuo; sus queridos nietos; su hermana querida, Guillen Cruz; su hermano, Juan Cruz Jr.; y un sinnúmero de personas cuyas vidas fueron tocadas por su espíritu alegre, generoso y amoroso.

En honor al amor de María por la vida, invitamos a todos los que la conocieron a celebrar su memoria no con tristeza, sino con música, una comida caliente, y un baile bajo el cielo. Mantengamos vivo su espíritu tal como ella vivió: llena de sabor, ritmo y amor.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 1 de agosto, de 5:00 p.m. a 7:30 p.m. en Kuhn Funeral Home, ubicado en 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611.

With hearts full of sorrow but also deep gratitude, we announce the passing of our beloved María Cruz, who departed this life on July 22, 2025, at the age of 60, at Reading Hospital.

María was born on November 24, 1964, in Manhattan, New York, and proudly carried her Puerto Rican roots throughout her life. She was the cherished daughter of Juan Cruz Sr. and Guillermina Vega, loving mother of Juan G. Santiago Cruz and Joel A. Santiago, and adoring grandmother to Rainna and Emillen.

Affectionately known as Mary, she was a radiant soul who brought joy and warmth wherever she went. María had a unique gift for turning ordinary days into celebrations, filling every space with laughter, love, and the unforgettable aroma of something delicious cooking in her kitchen.

A passionate cook and vibrant dancer, María believed life should be savored, like a favorite meal shared with loved ones or a song that makes your feet move without permission. Her kitchen was always open, her music always playing, and her spirit always ready to lift others up. Every gathering became a feast, and every step she took, a dance of love and light.

María taught us that joy is not something we find, it's something we create. Through every recipe mixed with love and every rhythm she danced to, she reminded us to celebrate even the smallest of moments.

She is survived by her beloved children; her long-term partner, Angel Vázquez Mora, with whom she shared the past five years in a bond filled with love, companionship, and mutual respect; her cherished grandchildren; her devoted sister, Guillen Cruz; her brother, Juan Cruz Jr.; and countless others whose lives were touched by her joyful, generous, and loving spirit.

In honor of María's love for life, we invite all who knew her to celebrate her memory not with sadness, but with music, a warm meal, and dancing under the open sky. Let us keep her spirit alive the way she lived; full of flavor, rhythm, and love.
