Marguerite U. Waldron, 98, of Reading, died April 30, 2011 in ManorCare, Sinking Spring.
Her husband, James M. K. Waldron, artist and teacher, passed away in 1974.
Born in Wyomissing, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Clara (Proger) Ullrich, both from Cham, Germany.
Marguerite attended Wyomissing High School, was a graduate of Reading High School and Stoner's Business School.
She worked as a secretary for Potteiger Builders.
Marguerite loved bird watching, gardening, hiking, dancing and the beach, especially Cape May; she passed on these loves to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her children: Karen M. Waldron, Exeter; James U. Waldron, Shillington and Kim R. Waldron, West Reading. Also surviving is her sister, Gerda Ullrich, AZ. Four grandchildren: Nicole Claybaugh, Justin Waldron, Rebeca Waldron, Collen Waldron; four great-grandchildren: Madison, Mason, Colin, Noelle and a number of nieces and nephews survive her.
She was predeceased by six siblings: Gerry Ullrich, Carl Ullrich, Lydia Reber, Magdalena Ullrich, Bert Ullrich and Oscar Ullrich.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
