Marguerite E. Mell

Marguerite E. (Bowers) Mell, 91, of 304 West Bellevue Avenue, (Muhlenberg Township) Reading, Pa 19605, died March 8th at 5:30 am in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township, where she had been since February 4th.

She was the wife of Homer A. Mell, a resident of the St. Joseph Living Center, Muhlenberg Township.

Born in Hamburg, she was a daughter of the late Appolonius and Emily (Gerhart) Bowers.

She was employed for 23 years as a strapper at Diener Knitting Mills, Leesport, before retiring in 1963.

Mell was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday at 11:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Gerald C. Arndt officiating. Viewing Friday 10:00am until time of service. Burial will be in Spies-Zion Cemetery.
