Marguerite D. Mazza

Marguerite D. "Meg" (Davy) Mazza, 88, passed away April 30, 2017, in Mennonite Home, Lancaster.

Her husband, Dr. Patrick A. Mazza, died on October 6, 2002.

Born in Newport News, VA, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary V. (Devine) Davy.

She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1946 and St. Mary of the Woods College in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in Zoology. Meg completed her internship in Medical Technology at St. Joseph Hospital in 1951.

Meg was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

She was a member of Human Relations Commission of Reading.

Meg was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family; one of the best gifts she gave her children was staying at home to raise them.

She is survived by three children: Patrick A. Mazza, Seattle, WA; James P. husband Kathryn Mazza, Conestoga, PA; and Mary B., wife of John Box, Atlanta, GA; and four grandchildren.

Meg was predeceased by her son, Christopher R. Mazza.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 701 Franklin St., West Reading. Inurnment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel of St. George Mausoleum. Friends may call Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
