Marguerite A. "Peggy" Cook, 103, of West Wyomissing, passed away December 4, 2014 in Mifflin Center.

Her husband, Robert W. Cook, died in 1978.

Born in Orwigsburg, she was a daughter of the late Norman S. and Helen M. (Lindenmuth) Gerber. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, George M. and Mame (Krater) Lindenmuth.

Peggy attended Reading Northeast Jr. High School.

She worked in the knitting industry for several years and then worked as the hostess and waitress for over 30 years at the Iris Club, Wyomissing.

Peggy enjoyed dancing, big band music, spending weekends with her family at the bungalow at Maidencreek, and was an avid gardener.

She is survived by her son, Gerald R., husband of Joan D. Cook, Wyomissing. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Eric D., husband of Sheila Cook, Ormond Beach, FL; and Hilary A., wife of Joel Brigel, Jr., Sinking Spring; and a great-granddaughter, Chenin Joy Cook, Ormond Beach, FL.

Peggy was predeceased by her sister, Florence Eisenhower.

A visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be private in Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Lawn United Methodist Church, 15 Woodside Ave, Reading, PA 19609. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
