Margie C. Shoemaker

Margie Catherine (Bair) Shoemaker, 93, of Laureldale, died January 7, 2011 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of Willard Benjamin Shoemaker who died January 3, 1973.

Born October 5, 1917 in Ontelaunee Township, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Lillie Bair.

Margie was employed as a twister with Bachman's Bakery for three years.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Margie enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and soap operas.

Surviving is a daughter, Lois C., wife of John C. Fresco of Laureldale.

Other survivors include two grandchildren, John M. Fresco and Debra S. Holland and three great grandchildren.

Margie was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
