Margie L. Arnold, 89, formerly of Hamburg, passed away on December 29, 2024 at Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg. Born in Houston, Texas, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Jirouschek) Serres. Margie was the loving wife of Gerald "Jerry" L. Arnold with whom she shared eleven years of marriage until his passing in 2013.

Margie was a 1953 graduate of Manual Training High School, Brooklyn. After graduating from high school, she pursued an associate's degree in nursing from Suffolk County Community College. Margie then took on the role of a public health nurse in Suffolk County, NY.

Margie was the life of the party and the heart of the family. She adored her dog, LuLu, had a sweet tooth for chocolate at any hour, savored french vanilla coffee, and frequently dined at Red Lobster and Olive Garden. She adored decorating her home with nautical pieces. Margie was a devoted fan of the New York Mets and Giants and she enjoyed watching Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Chicago Fire and the Hallmark Channel.

She is survived by her daughters, Melinda Antonini (Frederick), of Summerfield, Florida, and Tami LaRosa, of Kirkville, New York; her grandchildren: Tommy, Amanda, Ashlee (Zach), Jesse, Steven (Jessica), Margaret, Maria, Sean (Terry), Meghan (Courtenay), Kyle, Ryan, and Brandon; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Harry Serres, of Las Vegas and sisters-in-law, Pauline Serres and Lynn Serres.

In addition to her husband, Jerry, Margie was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Mehlinger; son, Casey Mehlinger; grandson, Johnny; brothers, William and Mack Serres; sister-in-law, June Serres.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 11AM at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. Family and friends will be received from 10:30AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Frieden's Church Cemetery, Shartlesville.
