Margaret Louise Yonkovitch

Margaret "Louise" Yonkovitch, 92, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late William Yonkovitch. They shared 58 years of marriage before his passing on February 4, 2013.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Pauline (Luksie) Mitchell. She was a 1949 graduate of Central Catholic High School, and a member of St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church in Reading. Louise was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family; she cherished the time she was able to spend with her son, Andrew, while he was growing up. She always looked forward to trips to Cape May, NJ. Later in life, she enjoyed taking bus trips to the casino, and going out for lunches or dinners with her friends and family. She was a warm, caring, selfless person with a great sense of humor who always enjoyed a good joke.

Those left to cherish Louise's memory are her grandchildren, Janelle Yonkovitch, and Jason Yonkovitch, husband of Ali; her great grandchildren, Hudson, and Hadley; along with cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is also predeceased by her son.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 26, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church, 925 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19601, with interment to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading.
