Margaret B. Tierney

Margaret B. (Bixby) Tierney, 85, formerly of Wyomissing died October 6th at 9:30 pm in the Berkshire Center, Exeter Township, where she had been since November 4, 2003.

She was the widow of Lawrence J. Tierney, who died February 1991.

Born in Garden City, New York, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Bixby.

She was a 1937 graduate of Garden City High School, N.Y. and a 1941 graduate of Adelphia University, N.Y.

Tierney is survived by two sons, Lawrence J. Tierney of Dunedin, Florida and David M. Tierney of Wyomissing.

Other survivors include two daughters, Bowe T. (Tierney) Lang of Atlanta, Ga. and Melissa T. (Tierney) Rothenberger of Mohrsville.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Tierney was predeceased by a son, Richard B. Tierney, who died December 3, 2001.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
