Margaret M. Bailey

Margaret Mary Bailey, 71, of Muhlenberg Township died October 21, 2011 in Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation, Reading, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of David Paul Bailey whom she married September 12, 1959 in Reading. They recently celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Born November 17, 1939 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Russel Allen and Margaret Mary (Bauscher) Butzer.

Margaret was a 1957 graduate of Central Catholic High School.

She was employed as a manager with Boscov's Department Store for 27 years, retiring in 2001.

Peggy 'Puddin' and Dave enjoyed many wonderful cruises to Bermuda. She loved her plants and flowers and will be missed by the furry and feathered friends who visited her garden regularly.

Margaret was a member of Holy Guardian Angel's Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kathleen A. Bailey of Muhlenberg Township and Melissa M., wife of Ariff Sumar of Denver, PA.

Other survivors include three grandchildren: Anisha, Jenna and Jared; a grandpuppy, Max; a sister, Cindy Butzer of Camp Hill and two nieces, Laura Hart and Megan Buchter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park. A visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:00 in the church. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
