Margaret B. Horst

Margaret B. Horst , 93, formerly of Harrisburg and Wyomissing died August 16th in the Harrisburg Hospital where she had been a patient since August 8. Horst was the widow of Dr. Elmer L. Horst, who died November 22, 1995. Born in Manor, Westmoreland County, she was a daughter of the late H. George and Mary (Wagner) Beamer. Horst was a 1934 graduate of Penn State for liberal arts. She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing. Horst was the first president of the Women of Atonement in 1955. She was also president of physician staff wives of the Reading hospital from 1952 to 1953. Horst was president of Berks County Medical Auxiliary in 1954. She is survived by one son, Stanley E., Geneva, Ill., and one daughter Barbara E. Horst of Harrisburg. There is also two grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 on Monday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Burial will be in North Bellegrove Cemetery, Annville.
