Margaret M. Diehl

Margaret M. "Peg" Diehl, 83 formerly of Hamburg died November 4, 2016 in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center. She was the widow of Roland O. Diehl who died August 29, 1988. Peg was born in Philadelphia and was the daughter of the late Leonard M. and Catherine T. (Ghegan) Bessell. She was a 1951 graduate of Hallahan Girls High School, Philadelphia. Peg was employed many years for the Albright Insurance Agency, Hamburg as an insurance underwriter. She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Tilden Township and a volunteer at the Hamburg Center with Meals on Wheels. Her daughter, Catherine wife of Kerry Reider, Wernersville, survives Peg two sisters Dolores Wootten, Havertown and Leonore Bessell, Broomall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM from St. Mary R.C. Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, PA. 19526. There will be no viewing.
