Margaret Davis

Margaret (Rostek) Davis, 70, died June 13, 2008 at 12:31am in her Spring Township residence.

She was the wife of Clair Allen Davis, whom she married September 18, 1957.

Born October 18, 1937 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Valentine and Pauline (Zielinski) Rostek.

She was employed 10 years as an operator with Lucent Technologies, Muhlenberg Township, retiring in 1998.

Margaret was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

She was passionate about poetry and published two poetry books.

Margaret is also survived by a son, Michael V. husband of Julie A. Davis of South Heidelberg Township and a daughter, Michele V. (Davis) wife of Jason R. Hinnershitz, of Maidencreek Township.

Other survivors include a brother, Theodore Rostek of Kenhorst and three sisters; Genevieve Redd of Dallas, TX, Cecelia Moyer of Kenhorst and Dorothy Giovanelli of Reading.

There are also three grandchildren surviving; Joseph T. Scargle, Jr., Kaitlynn A. Davis and Kristinn A. Davis.

She was predeceased by a brother, Walter Rostek and two sisters, Stella LePage and Lottie DeWald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 am in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2710 St. Albans Drive, Whitfield. A viewing will be held in the Church one hour prior to Mass. Burial will be at a later date in Hain's Church Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
