Margaret D. Simonton

Margaret D. Simonton, 99, of Wyomissing died April 28, 2010 in ManorCare Sinking Spring.

Her husband, Frederick W. Simonton, died June 7, 1974.

Born in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, she was a daughter of the late George H. and Mary D. (Dolane) Douglas.

She was a 1928 graduate of Allentown High School and 1930 graduate of Allentown Business School.

Margaret worked as a bookkeeper for Huber and Co., Allentown.

She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

Margaret is survived by her four grandchildren: Sandra Torres, Douglas Simonton, Sue Serhan and Sharon Stoudt. Also suriving are eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, Samuel D. Simonton, September 13, 2008.

Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown. A visitation will be Friday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610.
