Margaret M. Cafurello

Margaret "Peggy" M. Cafurello, 98, passed away on January 24, 2022 at her Wyomissing home. She was married to the late Anthony M. Cafurello, with whom she shared 70 wonderful years.

Born in Wyomissing, PA, she was the daughter of Harry W. and Florence M. (Endy) Copenhaver.

Peggy was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School for over 60 years. She served as the President of the Women's Missionary society, and worked as a secretary at Goggleworks before devoting herself to her family. She loved animals and could often be found solving crossword puzzles or gardening. She was a self-taught artist and enjoyed painting and sketching.

Peggy is survived by her son, Michael A. Cafurello, and daughter, René, wife of Peter D'onofrio, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Anthony; her sons, Martin A. and Marcel A. Cafurello; her daughter, Rosemarie A. Mills; her brothers Walter W. and Warren W. Copenhaver; her step-sister, Elizabeth J. Jaggers; and her grandson, William R. Smalley.

A funeral service will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd, Wyomissing, PA 19610, on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave. West Reading, PA 19611, and at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
