Marcos Rodriguez

Marcos Rodriguez, 85, of Reading passed away on February 21, 2015

He was the husband of the late Lucia Rodriguez who passed away June 25, 2011.

Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Jose and Catalina (Alvarado) Rodriguez.

Marcos, before retiring was employed by Birdsboro Steel as a chipper and grinder.

He was a parishioner at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Reading.

Marcos was a member of the Holy Name Society and also volunteered his time at the Kennedy House. His true love was spending as much time as he could with his family.

Marcos is survived by his six children, Carmen L., wife of Dale Moyer, Reading; Lucy, wife of Frank Equale, Forest Hill, MD; Marcos L. Rodriguez, Reading; Antonio P. Rodriguez, Reading; Rosalia, wife of Paul Beck, Fleetwood; Peter A., husband of Marveen Rodriguez, Sinking Spring. He is also survived by his sisters, Francisca Saer, Puerto Rico, Rosin Colon, Puerto Rico, Hipolita Colon, Florida, Maria Rodriguez, Reading; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his siblings Francisco Rodriguez, Angel Rodriguez, Antonio Rodriguez and Carmen Rodriguez; son, Jose E. Rodriguez.

A Mass will be held on Thursday at 9:30 at St. Peter's R. C. Church, 326 S. 5th St, Reading PA 19602. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home and Thursday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be private at the convience of the family.
