Marcia N. Baer

Marcia N. Baer, 67, died of natural causes July 29 in her residence on Hawthorne Court, Spring Township.

Her husband, Carl E. Baer Jr., died June 20, 1990.

Born in Trenton, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ann (Manning) Nelson.

Baer was employed for 10 years as an administrative assistant by Reading Area Community College, until her retirement.

She was a 1954 graduate of Central Catholic High School.

Baer was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen E. (Baer) Sims, Wyomissing; and three sons: Michael E., in North Carolina; Richard C., Harrisburg; and Steven F., Reading.

Other survivors include two brothers, Jack Nelson, Santa Barbara, Calif., and James Nelson, Burlington, N.J.; and a sister, Joan (Nelson) Nangle, Bellmawr, N.J.

There are also 10 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
